"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

We are looking for several fine artists (sculpture, painting or another applicable or relevant medium) to interpret the concept of a "Chinese Wall," as used in brokerage firms. This project is for a private collector in New York City who wishes to have several interpretations done by different artists of what a Chinese Wall would visualize as. The project could and probably would also lead to future commission pieces involving interpretations of financial/social/political subjects. A Chinese Wall is is a term that exists in brokerage firms and indicates a barrier that hinders communication or understading- here, it is meant as an ethical rather than physical barrier. It is supposed to separate the different divisions of a financial institution to avoid conflict of interest. Interested artists must have a good understanding of this term and the implications.
